Angel Stadium
Angel Stadium of Anaheim began a renovation process on October 1, 1996 in order to turn the facility back to a baseball-only complex. In 1997, the new ballpark was renamed "Edison International Field of Anaheim." The renovation project was completed in time for opening day 1998, and the stadium's name was changed to its current name in before the 2004 season. The original stadium was also a baseball-only stadium, but it underwent large scale changes in 1979 in order to accommodate the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. The original capacity of the stadium was just over 43,000 but after the changes, almost 65,000 people could attend baseball games.
The new ballpark includes many modern features including three full-service restaurants, new press box and broadcast booths, and a youth-oriented gaming area. Tickets are reasonably priced in all areas of the ball park, with some seats being as cheap as $5-10. Angel Stadium of Anaheim is located in a convenient area, accessible to all people in areas ranging from Orange County to San Diego to Newport Beach down to Los Angeles into Palm Springs and out to Pomona and San Bernardino.
