Jacobs Field

The name for the Cleveland Indians great ballpark has been changed from Jacobs Field to Progressive Field in 2008, although local fans still know it as "The Jake" after its former name.  Featuring one of the largest video screens in the world, installed in 2005, the Indians seem to come out with amazing improvements to their park every year so that fans can get the best experience possible.  Tickets are reasonably priced despite the considerable amount of money the county has invested in it and the seats being a good enough width for those fans that are a few beers over the limit.

Jacobs Field, home of the Cleveland Indians of the American League Central, and Gund Arena, home of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, make up the Gateway Sports and Entertainment Complex in the heart of Cleveland. Jacobs Field was opened in 1994 and serves as a baseball-only facility that was built with fan experience ranking high on the priority list. The seats at "The Jake" are slightly bigger than most others with more leg room and wider aisles. The rows of seats also rise slightly quicker than others, which offer the fan a better sight line to the field of play.

A seat in the field box will only cost you hardly anything, and corner reserved seats can be purchased for even less. The Indians are also offering new seats in 2004, located along the left and right field lines where the outfield fences begin. These seats give the fan a breathtaking view of the field and the chance to catch a souvenir during the game, and all for a reasonable price. At least twice a month, the Indians also offer youngsters 14-and-under the chance to run the bases during a "Kid's Fun Day." Another promotional favorite is country music night, also offered at least twice a month.
