U.S Cellular Field
Phase 8 of the renovations to U.S. Cellular Field took place prior to the 2008 baseball season, which include the unveiling of The White Sox Legacy Brick Program's brick plaza along with a white bronze and granite sculpture in tribute of the 2005 World Series Championship. The previous phases included the replacement of most of the seats with brand new seats, the addition of new TV monitors, and new premium clubs and restaurants within the stadium. Despite these multi-million dollar improvements to U.S. Cellular Field, ticket prices are still as cheap as ever to see the Chicago White Sox race for the pennant.
In 2003, the Chicago White Sox and U.S. Cellular reached an agreement to change the name of the New Comiskey Park to U.S. Cellular Field. U.S. Cellular Field is located at 333 West 35th Street, Chicago, IL 60616. Club Box and Premium Club Box seats can be purchased at a reasonable price, and the Upper Reserved seats will cost you even less. One Monday a month, the White Sox and U.S. Cellular Field offer fans half-priced tickets, and twice a month, they offer half-price Tuesdays with the redemption of an empty Pepsi product. Other promotions put on by the organization and the stadium include the usually group fare discount and dollar hot dogs at select Thursday games at U.S. Cellular Field.
The biggest promotions of the season are the "Kid's Days" on certain Sundays during the year. Kids can get in for only a dollar and can get autographs from their favorite players before the game and then look forward to running the bases after the game is over. The White Sox offer public transportation to and from the game in the form of the CTA Red Line elevated train. U.S. Cellular Field is very accessible from almost anywhere in the Chicago area and the surrounding suburbs.
